TESTIMONIALS

Sarona does not only care about the music - She cares about people!

TREY (11)

The first time I met you was at a local choral festival. Kayleigh was in the choir at White Rock Elementary School and you were the adjudicator.  As I watched you give feedback to each chorister and their director, it became very evident that you were not only musically talented but you had an incredible gift in the way you communicate with students and adults alike.  You were able to provide feedback in a respectful and encouraging manner.  I knew at that moment that you were a positive and dynamic role model for young people,

and as a parent, educator and administrator I was keenly aware of the importance of your influence.  Shortly after that festival, Kayleigh joined the WRCC choir.

Thank-you that choir is not only a place to explore your gifts and talents but it is also a family where each child feels a sense of belonging and accomplishment.

Sarona, we will miss you and we wish you the very best as you enter this new chapter in your life.

Thank-you for all you’ve done for our children and our community. May God richly bless you and your family.

Much love,
Kristi, Alan and Kayleigh Rigg (Parents & Singer)

To say you are “a legend in your own time” would be an understatement!! The countless lives you have touched, “seeds” you have watered by your presence, your love of music and people, especially the children and youth, will continue to have an effect throughout our life times, and shared by generations on….!!

You are an amazing, inspiring, spunky woman who keeps to her promises and gives advice on life and laughs lots. When you want to do something, you do it and don’t give up. You are so engaged in whatever you do and CARE about other people and show them LOVE no matter what. You have made my voice so much stronger, and me so much stronger than I was when I first met you.

I will never forget what an impact you’ve made on my life.  Thank you for letting me have this opportunity and be a part of this family. I love you so much!!

The “Sarona experience” is one I will never forget. I can’t put into words how much that you, not only as a conductor, but as a person have helped me grow.
What I loved most about choir was being able to get lost in music for two and a half hours every week and forget about everything else . Just pouring my heart out through song was and still is the biggest stress reliever I can find. I remember tuning in Prelude with the song Tingalayo and how my voice shook so bad because of my nerves, but as I looked to you I saw only encouragement.

That was the first of many moments you helped me find the strength I didn’t know I had.
I know as you move forward you will never forget the family you created through a love of music and I wish you the best on your next adventure!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I would like to thank you for bringing choir back into my life. The joy and discipline have been boundless. I remember the first time I heard your senior choir at a Remembrance Day service at White Rock United church and I was awed by the sound.  It wasn’t but a few months later and I saw a small ad in the local paper for people who wanted to sing. I got my nerve up and attended a practice and have never looked back.  I will miss you, your family and choir.Thank you.

Sarona, thank you for your guidance and mentorship of Layla, not only on her musical journey but also on her life journey. During the many years from Kindergarten to Kwantlen University, Layla often said that she wanted to “be Sarona”, and I can’t think of a more wonderful role model for her to aspire to. Your love, compassion, talent, and energy has strongly influenced her development into the incredible young woman and teacher that she is today. How can I thank you?
I wish you and Johan the best of times in your future adventures. I hope that somehow we will be able to stay connected, but I know that in my heart my connection to you is unbreakable. Take care!
Love, Tracy (Parent)
